Do you want to be part of our team and have the opportunity to use your full midwifery skills by following pregnant women through the entire care chain? The integrated midwifery team will transition into regular operations at the turn of the year, and in connection with this, we are expanding and need more midwives.

About Us

The integrated midwifery team in Gothenburg works with a cohesive care chain regarding relational continuity. We are a team of midwives who work throughout the care chain concerning pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care in the Gothenburg region. The aim is to offer women with fear of childbirth and/or other vulnerabilities care tailored to meet their needs for safety and continuity.

The Position

The position is full-time with around-the-clock service, with a rotating schedule that includes days, evenings, and nights. Maternal care is primarily located in the same premises as Kungshöjd Midwifery Clinic, but some maternal care will also be conducted at a branch in northeastern Gothenburg. Deliveries take place at Östra Hospital, mainly in department 308. We also conduct home visits during, for example, the latent phase and postpartum care.

About the Midwifery Clinics/Region Health

Our operations include 66 midwifery clinics in small and large towns throughout the region, employing more than 400 midwives. As a midwife at a midwifery clinic, you work independently with reproductive and sexual health.

About the Delivery/Östra Hospital

Here, midwives, doctors, nursing assistants, and nurses work in the largest delivery operation in the Nordic countries, the delivery care at Östra Hospital. Approximately 10,000 children are born here each year. You will work in a team with midwives, nursing assistants, obstetricians, section leaders, nurses, and healthcare assistants.

About You

You are a licensed midwife with at least two years of experience from a midwifery clinic or obstetrics. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with and have an interest in fear of childbirth. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop and work with the entire care chain. As a person, you are relationship-building, flexible, meticulous, engaged, and a good team player. Furthermore, you are proactive and can easily see what needs to be prioritized and executed. You also have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the position.

We primarily seek someone who lives within a one-hour drive from Östra Hospital. Requirements for the position include a valid driver's license B and good driving experience.

Conditions

You will work both within Region Health and Obstetrics at Östra Hospital, but your position will be based in Region Health.

Other

Selection will be made in consultation with SU, and interviews will be conducted on an ongoing basis.
